Pipeline Protection Coating Systems

Polyurea outperforms paint and epoxy coatings while reducing your ongoing maintenance costs when used on pipelines; it also complements insulated pipes when applied over polyurethane foam.

New pipelines are often coated in the factory, and sections are left uncoated for the welding process, leaving the exposed area coated in the field using epoxy systems. The welding process changes the pipeline's material structure making it more prone to corrosions and other deficiencies.

Coating your pipeline externally with polyurea will present many years of protection from the environment and external conditions; when coated internally, the pipeline's life can be stretched much further than originally estimated. Having corrosion on your pipeline will ultimately lead to leaking operations, which can cause injury to persons and the environment. Current epoxy systems are field applied systems that are simple to apply but have a high failure rate.

With an estimated 800,000 miles of leaking and deteriorated pipelines in America, it shows what a poor state the US infrastructure is currently in.

Pipeline Lining & Coating Systems

Polyurea can be employed to pipeline internals using a spray robot; this robot rides the pipelines' internal while applying polyurea using a rotary head. This method presents exceptional coverage and a long-lasting, hard-wearing internal lining system for your pipeline. One large advantage of this system in the pipeline can be left in place and does not need to be dug up to carry out this lining method.

It's estimated that the US will have to find over $1 trillion to repair the buried potable water line that will fail due to degeneration. Polyurea lining systems can be used on pipelines as small as 1 inch in diameter. Because this technology is known as trenchless, the advantages to the environment and reduced costs are extraordinary.

Why Choose Trenchless

Trenchless lining systems have numerous advantages over trenched; cost implications and environmental impacts are 2 of the main. Polyurea methods can be used on virtually all pipelines, from concrete to steel, and are an excellent choice for pipeline rehabilitation.
